Hi I have Civic 97 it works fine with superb pick on CNG but for past few weeks its doing missing on petrol.

My mechanic initially said that one of the injector is faulty it was identified by removing the injector cable. In any case it had the same response therefore i changed it.

Then after that he said that the petrol might be dirty so i burnt all tank and inserted few liters of fresh petrol. Even than the behavior was same. so than we cleaned the fuel filter also. But the problem still persists, I am fed up from the situation I have to sell my car but it doesn't leave good impression if buyer checks the car on petrol and observe this issue.

1 - Check injector wiring.
2 - Check fuel pump pressure.

Also check the grips that control the fuel supply to the injectors, they are installed with a CNG kit. I had the same problem in my civic and it turned out that one of the grips were faulty, so the car did missing on petrol.

Whenever an engine is turned off, the last drop of petrol dries on the tip of the injector.
continuous evaporation of petrol on the nozzle of fuel injectors form scaling which disturbs symmetry of fuel flow and spray pattern. This results in hesitation, missing and stumbling of the engine. Pickup and power are lost and the emission smells of unburnt fuel. Injectors are very sturdy mechanisms and don't fail very easily. There is no need to replace fuel injectors unless they are really gone bad. We usually replace our injectors with Kabuli or second hand injectors which themselves are sometimes clogged. Injectors are designed in such a way that they are not very convenient to clean they are sealed units and can not be opened for cleaning purpose. Ultrasonic cleaning is internationally accepted most effective treatment of clogged injectors. It restores the injector to like-new condition and bring back engines power and economy. I represent FI-Tech which takes pride to announce ultrasonic fuel injector cleaning service for the first time in Pakistan.
