I would like to know if it is possible to convert a Direct Injection Diesel Engine to an EFI Turbo Diesel Engine.

I am considering to buy a rugged 4x4 (Preferably G-Class or LR Defender). Usually these 4x4s come with a Direct Injection Engine.

I wouldnt want to throw in a Japanese engine in a european vehicle, thats why I want to know if it is possilbe to increase the performance and fuel efficiency of the stock engines of these 4x4s.

Basicllay yet in pakistan there is no such technology that we can convert a direct injection in to electronic fuel injection, and adding a turbocharger thats a totllay new story so leave that right now, well what i am saying that the best way is to put a japanese 1k diesel engine in a discovery or some jeep with alteration. Now this 1k is enjine comes in toyota surf 3.0 efi turbo(98-02 model) best you can get here. And my one friend has tested it, its good. He put this engine in range rover. And he ran that this year in cholistan rally. See you later
