Peugeot or subaru

can anyone please guide me about the these two cars,i mean which one is easy to maintain.I've heard that peugeots can be converted to petrol ,if yes then fromwhere it can be done .

my suggestion, dont change this engine unless its life span is over, its a good diesel engine with very few emissions as compared to others, probably catalytic converter is also there in this Peugeot(not sure).
