this is easiest i can get after this you have to ask someone else

-free flow as termed,,less retricted way out for exhaust gas

-the design of a muffler is to channel exhaust through narrow passage inside muffler shell to reduce exhaust sound of vehicle.

-the back pressure build up in exhaust system helps engine to obtain low rpm torque to accelerate by pressing less accelerator padel.

- above specifications vary from car to car and engine to engine on how much back pressure build up is required by engine manufacturer

- when you change properties by installing different eqt in vehicle you will change the exhaust note sound and backpressure properties of exhaust system.

if anyone talks abt that it puts exessive load on engine they probably mean you will be using extra fuel, more power from engine to retain same amount of torque as standard exhaust system.

At high rpm range, standard restrictive exhaust compared to free flow exhaust will reduce quick exit of exhaust gases thus making the engine slower to reach top rpm speed.

From my engine exhaust studies, i came up with a different mufflers systems capable of reducing certain exhaust sound note but still is able to keep certain backpressure. i did not install a complete free flow eqt.

there is also a valve type unit available installed in sports cars which opens out to make exhaust system "more" freeflow at higher engine rpm.

some people have developed motor operated door to make exhaust freeflow or keep at standard level by opening and closing of door.
