Honda Accord 7th Generation Overview

The Honda Accord has been a top-selling mid-size sedan since its introduction in 1976, and the 7th generation model, produced from 2003 to 2007, was no exception. The Accord underwent a redesign for this generation, offering a more refined and upscale look.


Interior

The 7th generation Accord featured a spacious and comfortable interior, with ample legroom for both front and rear passengers. The dashboard was well-designed and featured easy-to-use controls, and the materials used throughout the cabin were of high quality. Standard features included air conditioning, power windows and locks, and an audio system with an auxiliary input. Higher trim levels offered additional amenities such as leather upholstery, a sunroof, and a navigation system.


Exterior

The 7th gen Honda Accord featured a more sophisticated and upscale exterior design, with a sleek front grille and stylish headlights. The Accord was available in both sedan and coupe body styles, with the coupe featuring a sportier look.


Engine

The 7th generation Honda Accord was available with a range of engine options. The base model came with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 160 horsepower and 161 lb-ft of torque. There was also a more powerful 3.0-liter V6 engine that produced 240 horsepower and 212 lb-ft of torque. Both engines were paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, although a six-speed manual was available on certain trims.


Performance

The Honda Accord has long been known for its balanced and comfortable ride, and the 7th generation model was no exception. The car was well-suited to both city and highway driving, with a smooth and responsive transmission and plenty of power from the available engines. Handling was also impressive, with sharp steering and good road grip.


Mileage

The 7th generation Honda Accord offered respectable fuel efficiency for its class. The base model with the four-cylinder engine achieved an EPA-rated 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. The V6 engine, while more powerful, still managed decent mileage of 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
