Honda BR V Overview

The Honda BR-V is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by Japanese automaker Honda. Launched in Pakistan in 2017, it is an affordable 7-seater SUV that offers a practical solution for families. Initially, Honda offered three trims of the BR-V including i-VTEC, i-VTEC MT, and i-VTEC S.

In 2019, the BR-V underwent a cosmetic update, with a refreshed exterior and additional interior features. Currently, only the updated, facelifted version is available for purchase in Pakistan.

BR-V Exterior

The Honda BR-V 2024 boasts a stylish design with sharp lines and bold aesthetics. The front features a new bumper with a modern grille, as well as autoprojector headlamps and daytime running lights (DRLs). The car also has stylish fog lights.

The Honda BR-V 2024 is equipped with power-retractable side mirrors and sun visors on both sides.

The rear of the car boasts a chrome garnish and LED taillights, a purposeful spoiler with a rear wiper, and a shark fin antenna on top.

Honda BRV Interior

The interior of the Honda BR-V 2024 is a luxurious space, with 7 premium fabric-wrapped seats. The tilt-adjustable, electrically powered steering wheel has controls for the audio system. In front of the driver is a multi-information LCD display meter cluster with an eco indicator.

The Honda BR-V 2024 comes with a smart entry system and push-start button. The driver's seat is height adjustable and the 2nd-row seats have reclining, sliding, and tilting adjustments, and can be fully folded. The 3rd row seats can be folded 50/50 or fully, and are designed for easy access, allowing for increased boot space.

The center fascia features a 7-inch display screen with support for navigation, smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and more. The car also includes an HDMI port and USB input. The digital air conditioning system has rear vents to keep the entire car cool, and there are 10 cup holders and seatback pockets as well as a vanity mirror.

For safety, the Honda BR-V 2024 has driver and front-passenger airbags, seatbelts for all passengers, anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), an alarm with an immobilizer, and a rearview camera.

BRV Engine

The Honda BR-V 2024 is equipped with a 1.5L 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine with 16 valves and a single overhead cam. It produces 88 kW of power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm. The transmission system is a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

BR-V Mileage

The Honda BR-V 2024 offers an impressive fuel economy with a 42-liter tank, delivering 11 km/l in urban areas and 15 km/l on highways.

BRV Ride & Handling

The Honda BR-V 2024 offers a smooth and comfortable ride. Despite a slightly stiff suspension, the overall driving experience is pleasant. The 7-seater vehicle is easy to handle and maneuver, making driving effortless. The ride quality of the Honda BR-V 2024 is commendable.

The Honda BR-V 2024 is convenient to maintain due to its readily accessible and cost-effective auto parts that can be found in the market.

BRV Competitors

The Honda BR-V 2024 faces competition from the Kia Stonic, Glory 580 Pro, and Toyota Rush in the Pakistani market. Despite being priced similarly to the Stonic, the Honda BR-V boasts more seating capacity. Although the Stonic has a larger fuel tank and better fuel economy, it falls behind the BR-V in terms of engine power and displacement.

The Glory 580 Pro by DFSK, with similar size and features as the BR-V, is a formidable rival. The Glory 580 Pro has a number of advantages, including a larger fuel tank, more powerful engine, traction control, remote boot open, sunroof, and power seats, but is more expensive than the BR-V.

The Toyota Rush is also a competitor for the Honda BR-V, but it lacks the features and specifications offered by the BR-V.
