The Toyota iQ is a compact city car that was first introduced in 2008. It is known for its unique engineering that maximizes interior space while minimizing exterior length. The car is also the basis for the Aston Martin Cygnet and won the Japanese Car of the Year in 2008. The Toyota iQ has been in production for over 8 years, and it is available in three variants: 1.0, 1.33, and 1.4.

Exterior

The exterior of the 1st Generation Toyota iQ 2017 has a distinctive design that sets it apart from other cars in the same class. The front end features angular side-swept headlights, a small grille, a trapezium air intake, and a flush bumper. Meanwhile, the rear end features angular side swept taillights and a standard case hatchback. All variants of the Toyota iQ feature identical styling.


Interior

The Toyota iQ 2021 interior uses grey plastic trim pieces and fabric upholstery for the front and rear seats. Standard features include automatic climate control, a multifunction steering wheel, a multi-information display, power steering, power windows, power lock doors, power mirrors, a stereo speaker audio system, and a trip computer. Options include leather upholstery and satellite navigation.


Performance

The Toyota iQ 2017 is available with three engine options: a 1.0-liter inline-3, a 1.3-liter inline-4, and a 1.4-liter inline-4 diesel. The car is available with a 5-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed manual transmission, or a CVT automatic transmission.

The Toyota iQ 2017 can achieve an average of up to 25 km/L, giving it an estimated driving range of up to 500 km from its 25-liter fuel tank.
