The Toyota ISIS was first introduced in 2004 as a front engine front/four-wheel drive subcompact MPV. It has been in production for over 12 years and was available for purchase in the years 2004 to 2015. In this article, we will explore the features and specifications of the 2004 Toyota ISIS.

Exterior

The exterior of the 1st Generation Toyota ISIS features a unique yet minimalistic design. It has sharp upswept headlights, a rectangular angular chrome grille, dual standard circular fog lights, and dual rectangular air intakes. The sides have sliding doors, while the rear end has top-mounted slim narrow vertically stacked side-swept taillights and a stick-out bumper. The exterior design of the Toyota ISIS 2004 has a familiar styling for a Toyota minivan, which stands out among its rivals. All four variants of the Toyota ISIS 1st Generation are identical in every aspect.


Interior

The 2004 Toyota ISIS has a 7-seater layout arranged among three rows. The 7 seats are covered in beige fabric. Standard features include automatic climate control, power steering, power lock doors, power windows, and a multifunction steering wheel. Higher-end models such as the G and L come with a power moonroof, leather upholstery, reversing camera, heated front seats, electric front seats, and cruise control. The NAVI selection also offers satellite navigation. The overall interior of the 1st Generation Toyota ISIS features a good amount of interior space and offers great practicality.


Engine and Performance

The 2004 Toyota ISIS comes with two engine options: a 1.8-liter DOHC 16-valve inline-4 engine and a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve inline-4 engine. The 1.8-liter engine produces 132bhp@5600RPM, while the 2.0-liter engine produces 158bhp@6000RPM. Both engines are paired with either a 4-speed automatic transmission or a Super CVT-I automatic transmission. The Toyota ISIS 1st Generation is known for its smooth ride quality and comfortable handling.


Mileage

The Toyota ISIS 1st Generation can achieve an average of up to 15KM/L, making for an estimated driving range of up to 900KM from the mini MPV's 60-liter fuel tank.
