11th Generation Toyota Corolla Releases

Toyota Corolla 11th generation has been released after much wait. It is a facelift edition of Altis by Indus Motor Company IMC while it is similar to the recent popular brand, Honda Civic X.
The new Toyota Corolla includes changes in design and quality but we could not see new additions and upgrades in the car. We will talk about the latest version of Toyota Corolla here below.
Exterior
This car ahs the same overall profile as before but you will get a slim and sporty look with the addition of front grille and redesigned headlamps. Altis gets a streamlined front as the grille fits together with the daylight running lamp. As compared to the halogen lamps in the previous models, there are hi-beam LED headlamps that are included in the new features.

Atlis has almost the same sides while the 15” wheel caps are replaced with new 16” Aluminium rims. Wheel cap remains the same as that of GLi and XLi. In order to help you navigate narrow parking spaces easily, the side mirrors will now make a down angle while reversing a car.

There is no change in the rear lamps of old Altis but the redesigning of LED lamp and addition of chrome detailing on the rear lights gives a 3D look for the outer lens. Apart from that, the color option has been increased with the addition of new ‘phantom brown’ color. Now you have following options in the colors:

• Super White
• Attitude Black
• Graphite Gray
• Silver
• White
• Phantom Brown
• Dorado Gold
• Strong Blue
Interior
In the inside, the dashboard looks same but Toyota says that a double layered design is used for the soft textured materials and it provides a seamless feel as parting lines and joints are hidden.
There is an up-gradation in the infotainment system as a 9” TFT touchscreen will be available with WiFi hotspot and 3G/4G. A web cam and a rear camera is also present there. You can also charge your phones easily as USB ports are also available on both front and back seats.
There is improvement in air conditioner controls also. Easier operation is made possible with the replacement of frequently used switches with toggle switches. Climate control display is better visible with a high contrast LCD display.

Engine
There will be total 5 versions:
1. 1.3L XLi Manual
2. 1.3L GLi Manual/Automatic
3. 1.6L Altis Automatic
4. 1.8L Altis CVT-i/Manual
5. 1.8L Altis Grande CVT-i/Manual
The engine variants are same but there is difference in drive train in different models. There is increase in acceleration with the inclusion of sports mode.
Safety Features
The security features of the latest generations have also been upgraded which include:
• Dual SRS bags
• Front Seatbelts: 3-Point ELR with Pretensioner and Force Limiter
• GOA Body with Reinforcement
• ISOFIX Child Seat Anchors
• ABS
So far, Toyota hasn’t released the official price of the cars but it is estimated that they will be above the base price from Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 150,000.
