BMW Shifting 20% Car Lineup to Electric by 2023

There are various automakers in the European markets like Audi, Porsche, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Polestar and others take big step in the Electric vehicle and it is planning to increase the production of EVs. The chief executive of the company said that they are going to increase the number of electric vehicles and they will build million more electric cars during the period from 2021 to 2023 as they have planned earlier. BMW aimed to have every fifth car in product lineup by converting into EV within about three years. The governments of various countries are offering impressive incentives to EV buyers. BMW has revealed the plan to extend charging infrastructure all big markets all over the world.

There are 15,000 private and 1300 public charging points, which will put in to operation every week and BMW has one car with the electric powertrain. The automaker revealed the electric SUV prototype, which is called ‘iX’ and it did not share the details of powertrain o r battery and BMW claims that the vehicle has the great potential to go up to 300 miles on simple single charge.
