Budget Hybrid Supercar BMW i8

BMW started the launching of the new electric and hybrid cars in the market and the new range of 1 series got immense hype among its aspirants in 2011. Now the auto manufacturer is going to introduce the new series of the newly designed and the mid engine hybrid supercar with the concept version of i8 car. Now the company has launched its new and stylish version of the car and it will be more modern version of iconic mid engine M1 of the BMW and the first concept car was shown in 2009.
During the international motor show in Germany the final production version of the i8 was publicized and the motoring world looks at it surprisingly. Now the launching of the new car has done well in past few years and now it is important to observe that BMW i8 has 5.2 liter aspirated with VIO Audi R8.

Styling
The styling of the car, BMW i8 is the strong point and the car first came out back in 2013 and many people were not calling it the best looking BMW and going as far as to claim that it would be the best looking car ever made. If you were thinking of the supercar by looking at the exterior of i8 than you will be disappointed and i8 is added with 1.5 liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine from the mini cooper. This car has small size and the hearty three cylinder engine manages to produce 228 horsepower and it adds the 129 horsepower electric motor, which is mounted on the front axle and it gives 357 bhp and 420 lb-ft of torque being pushed through four wheels. The instant torque from the electric motor and carbon fiber construction and i8 is able to sprint to 100 kph in 4.4 seconds and go on the electrically limited top speed of 155 mph. it is available for $150,000 and it is pretty sub par performance for the supercar. If we take a look at the most hybrid cars, majority of them cost upwards of 1 million dollars and i8 was designed to be first and affordable hybrid supercar.
BMW claims that i8 will be able to return the class leading 92 mpg and be able to deliver the driving range of 310 miles in everyday conditions. The BMW i8 is able to travel about 22 miles at the speed up to 75 mpg with the use of the electric motor. The recharging times are about 1.5 to 2 hours and the combustion engine constantly charge the batteries under condition of braking, which you should not really feel the need to do.

Interior Quality, Comfort and Features
The interior of the i8 fezaures the small interior size and has space and well layered. It has rear seats and they are not really fit for anyone with the small children. You should keep in line with the environmentally friendly to the ‘i’ range. The interior of the car is upholstered in leather that was created with natural treatment process and the interior trim components are prepared from recycled fabrics. It has large 8.8 inch screen, which is mounted on top of center console runs on the iDrive infotainment system of BMW and all the buttons with the controls are angled towards the driver to make more immersive driving experience.

Verdict
BMW i8 has the standard features, which are leather wrapped steering wheel, 6 way power seats, 8.8 inch touch screen infotainment system, 3 stage heated seats, heads up display, 11 speaker Harman Kardon sound system, cruise control, automatic 2-zone climate control and park distance control. The optional extras on the i8 are included with the choice between larger 19 o r 20 inch wheels, leather engine cover, LED headlights with the cornering lights and blue colored seat belts.
