Convert Your Vehicle Registration Books to Smart Cards
The government has announced the policy of the registration of the vehicles to convert them into the smart cards. The government has allowed the paper-based vehicle registration holders, who pay the token taxes at the post offices so that they can get converted their registration books to smart cards at Islamabad Excise and Taxation department. The smart card holders will be able to pay token taxes through online banking o r mobile application and it will reduce the hassle of the owners of the vehicles, who visit to the post offices o r E&T office to pay the taxes of the token. The government is soliciting this facility to offer convenience to the public.
The smart card holders can pay their token taxes at any branch of National Bank, city app, post offices, e-Sahoolat centers of NADRA, which are announced by the Director E&T Islamabad. The extended deadline for the payment of the vehicle token tax is due on 30 June 2021 and the vehicle owners have to pay the penalty over the actual token tax amount after the deadline.
