Decrease in Car Prices of Proton Pakistan

After the appreciation of the Pakistani rupee, all the market players has announced a reduction of their car prices except Hyundai and KIA. As the appreciation of Pakistan rupee has affected the car prices so the Proton Pakistan has also decided to reduce the car prices.
The customers who have already booked the car has got extra benefit after the reduction of the car prices.


NEW Prices of Proton X70

• The price of X70 FWD has decrease of price up to Rs. 7,190,000 where its earlier price was Rs. 7,300,000 and has a reduction of price up to Rs. 110,000. The customer with old booking has to pay Rs. 6,990,000 against Rs, 7,100,000.
• The price of X70 AWD has a new price of Rs. 6,740,000 where earlier its price was Rs. 6,850,000 and has a reduction of price up to Rs. 110,000. While the customer with old bookings have to pay Rs. 6,540,000 instead of Rs. 6,650,000.


Proton Saga Prices

The company has not decreased the prices of Proton Saga for the new bookings, but the customers with old booking can get the benefit of Rs. 100,000. These are new car prices of saga variants that come under the old bookings.
• Proton Saga Ace has a new price of Rs. 3,049,000 where earlier its price was Rs. 3,149,000 and has a reduction of price up to Rs Rs. 100,000
• Proton Saga AT has a new price of Rs. 2,899,000 where its earlier price was Rs. 2,999,000, and has a reduction of price up to Rs. 100,000.
• Proton Saga MT has a new price of Rs. 2,724,000 where earlier its price was Rs. 2,824,000 and has reduction of price up to Rs. 100,000.
Justification of not Decreasing SAGA Price
According to the earlier notification that the automakers has unloaded a cumulative price hike where prices of the proton cars was increased to 11 percent, which doesn’t even math 20 percent of the devaluation of Pakistan Rupee. Their meaning is that the prices of the Proton Saga’s price are still low it doesn’t want reduction of the car prices.
