Excise And Taxation Department Increase Number Plates Prices

The Excise and Taxation Department ETD Punjab has decided to increase the prices of number plates for motorbikes and cars in the province.

According to recent updates, the ETD Punjab is going to increase the prices of number plates of cars and motorcycles up to 15%.

The Excise Department has sent a summary for increment in prices of number plates to the chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and waiting for the approval of the application officially.

The current prices of the number plates of bikes and car are 750 Rupees and 1200 Rupees respectively. After the approval of the summary by CM Punjab, the citizen will have to pay extra 150 Rupees for getting number plates.

According to officials of the Excise and Taxation Department, Punjab, the decision to increase the prices of number plates is was taken due to hike in dollar rates against PKR during previous years. Officials further claimed that, it’s impossible to issue number plates on current prices as these are very low.
