German Company Manufacturing Cars in Pakistan

Pakistan is on the radar of international investors. The auto industry that remained under the influence of Japanese players since long is now ready to restructure itself. In the recent development, German carmaker Audi AG has expressed its interest to establish an assembly plant in Pakistan and has submitted a letter of intent through its authorized importer to Board of Investment BOI for consideration.
Premium Systems private limited is the authorized importer of Audi AG in Pakistan while its automated head Ali Khan has confirmed that report and said that Audi AG has expressed its interest to establish a plant in the country through its authorized importer. For this plant, the hand has been acquired near a big industrial area in Korangi Karachi. It should be remembered that Audi AG is represented in different countries by its authorized importers o r manufacturing plants. But in case of manufacturing plants, the investment comes after appropriate demand of luxury brand while Pakistan is one of those 57 countries where an authorized importer is representing Audi AG.
He told that Audi AG initially signed an MOU with Sindh Board of Investment SBI. Then they studied the automotive policy and now the letter has been send to express interest in assembling cars in Pakistan.
