GM Launches Electric Car in Pak Market Worth $5300

General Motors in China has launched the latest version of Baojun B100 and this small car has only two seats and it can run with 155 km on the single charge. The cost of this vehicles is only Rs.563,000/- o r 35,800 Chinese Yuan. This car got the popularity in China and over 5000 got their registration done for first 200 cars and on the following day, 500 more cars were provided to the clients.
B100 is available in China only and now GM has developed Baojun B100 with SAIC, which is the largest car maker in China.
Dimensions and Turning Radius
This electric car comes with 5.25 ft wheelbase and it is 5.48 ft tall with turning radius of 12.14 ft. this size of the car is perfect for navigating tight corners and it is suitable for the areas, where is great rush in the main areas of Lahore, Karachi o r Rawalpindi.
Interior
When you talk about the interior, B100 has the features the minimalistic cabin with 7 inch touch screen with Wi-Fi and infotainment capabilities. The airvents are integrated to the dashboard, which is similar to Tesla Model 3. The steering wheel provides the standard set of controls with volume and adjustment of the side mirror.

The size of the car is about half of the standard Suzuki Mehran but it does not mean it compromises in terms of space. The cabin is spacious for two people and it has sufficient boot space.
There is no e-brake and there is small handle to serve as the e-brake on Baojun B100.

Performance and Range
B100 uses the electric motor, which is producing 110 Nm of torque with 30 horsepower 29 KW of power. If you know about Toyota Prius and other hybrid cars, you cannot go fast in electric mode and B100 is not included in this list and it manages the speed of 100 km/h on the highways.
Baojun B100 has the maximum range of 155 km when it is fully charged and you can speak about the charged, the EV charges up in 7.5 hours through the regular wall socket. The suspension is added with independent front wheel suspension and single arm rear suspension is on the back side.
Safety Features
The safety features of this electric car are added with ABS with electronic brake force distribution. The regenerative braking saves the power while brakes are applied. It is provided in the market with ISOFIX locks for seatbelts and for the child protection and they are also added with parking sensors and the pedestrian alert system.
