Govt Decides To End Monopoly Of Big Automakers

The government is going to take strict initiative to stop the monopoly of big auto companies in the local automotive industry

As the Auto Development Policy ADP is near to its end on 30th June 2021and new policy for next five years will be launched. According to an official statement of Ministry of Industries and Production the new policy will allow for the import of cars.

The current ADP has provided a safe way to new automakers to enter the Pakistani auto market and to boost imports and productions and vehicles locally.

New policy will also provide a relaxation to auto companies in terms of tax reductions to import the cars.

Recently, federal government had directed the Ministry of Industries and Production MOIP to start an investigation against the big auto companies to know their inability and credibility to increase vehicles production capacity.
