Honda Civic 2022 Finally Launched

The Globally renowned auto giant has finally launched the most anticipated sedan the Honda Civic 2022-11th Generation. The car was revealed last year on 17th November 2020 in teaser video. Later on the Honda North America officially revealed the front view of the Honda Civic 2022 in a photo on 14th April 2020 and finally the automotive giant finally launched the Honda Civic 2022 today on 28th April 2021.

Globally, the car will almost have a same variant however some feature will vary from region. Here we are going to know everything about the US variant of the newly launched Honda Civic 2022 11th Generation. The vehicle will come both in sedan and hatchback body styles depending upon market/ regions.

Exterior

The 11th generation Honda Civic has a lot of design similar to currently available 10th generation Accord and some similarities of the car are from the 3rd generation of the Honda Civic.



The exterior of the Honda Civic 2022 looks sporty and gives an aggressive look. It has A pillar which can be pushed 1 and 2 inch as well. . It comes without C shaped taillights. It has slim LED lights, New rear bumper, elongated slim reflectors and a new blacked-out exhaust.



The front of the Honda Civic 2022 has low bonnet and fenders, newer headlights and DRLs a new upright front grille and the vehicle looks lower and wider on front. The US model will be available in eight exterior colours, out of which three as Meteorite Gray Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl and Morning Mist Blue Metallic are brand new options.

Dimensions

As far as the dimensions of the Honda Civic 2022 are concerned it is 184-inch long, 70.9-inch wide while 55.7-inch high and have a wheelbase of 107.7-inch. Just a reference, the Civic X is 182.7-inch long, 70.9-inch wide and 55.7-inch high and have a wheelbase of 106.3-inch.

Interior



As for the interior, the Honda Civic 2022 follows MM Philosophy which indicates “Man Maximum / Machine Minimum” making the car more spacious in cabin and makes less spacious component wise. The interior of the Honda Civic 2022 is follows simplistic and minimalistic approach. The overall features of the interior are placement and angle of the A-pillar, lower cowel, pen view of the road ahead, new dashboard design with rectangular honeycombed trim,rectangular touch screen infotainment system, Apple car play and android auto, three-knob dual-zone climate control interface, new seat design with newly designed seat frames, sunroof, power driver and passenger seats, leather o r fabric seating surfaces, are available depending on the trim level.






Mechanical

The US variant of the Honda Civic 2022 will be equipped with same two engine options as on the outgoing model. A 2L naturally aspirated engine with 158HP @65000 rpm and 187NM of torque @4200 rpm. The other engine is the same 1.5 Turbocharged engine but now with an increased horsepower of 180 @6000 rpm while torque figures are also increased to 240NM and available between 1,700-4,500 rpm. Both engine versions come with 3 Mode Drive System, which includes ECON, Normal & Sport.



Safety

For safety, the new 11th generation Civic has a bundle additions and improvements. The safety features include 10 Airbags, including the next generation of Driver and Front Passenger Front Airbags and a rear passenger side airbag as well.
