Honda Exports 2nd Gen Brio from Indonesia

Honda has now started export of all new 2nd generation Honda Brio hatchback from Indonesia. Honda automobile manufacturing and sales joint venture has produced export bound models of this hatchback, Brio during November last year and PHP has announced the export plans for all new 2nd generation of Brio during 2019. The export oriented models will be produced in West Java, Indonesia and 2019 Brio will be exported to Philippines and Vietnam under accumulative export value of US $70.54 million. The automobile manufacturing company has excellent track record of producing and exporting other models of Honda and it has exported 11 completely knocked down models of various Honda cars as many as 12 countries. There are about 1.3 million vehicles, which have been produced for 11 different kinds of models of Honda and Honda Prospect Motor has the capacity to produce 200,000 cars every year in two manufacturing factories, which have total 6900 employees.

Revelation of 2nd Gen Honda Brio

The 2nd gen Honda Brio has been launched in the market during the unveiling ceremony being held at Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show during August 2018. The second generation model is added with 1.2 liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder petrol engine to produce maximum power of 88 hp and 110 Nm of torque. The demand of this car is increasing in Association of Southeast Asian nations. Honda R&D designed the new Brio to compete in auto market of the countries like Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines.

Honda was going to introduce its 1st generation Brio hatchback in Pakistan but due to certain reasons like high economic uncertainty in Pakistan, the vehicle could not be launched in the market. Pakistani rupee was depreciated continuously against US dollars and it forced the automaker to delay its plans. Now Honda is considering launch of all new 2nd generation of Brio and it is speculated that the vehicle will be introduced during second half of 2019. This car will bring more competition in small cars segment and it meets the desires of the people to get more information for small cars in the country rather that expensive vehicles.
