Huawei And DFSK Are Bringing An Hybrid SUV In Pakistan

The Automaker has officially confirmed via its Facebook page that DFSK and the Chinese tech giant are collectively developing Hybrid SUV and it could be “hitting the roads of Pakistan Soon”.



The SUV is produced by an Electric Vehicle EV company owned by the Chongqing Sokon Industry Group the founder of DFSK, Seres. The SUV made its official debut in 2019 at Guangzhou Motor Show in China.

Powertrain and Performance

The new Hybrid SUV by DFSK and Huawei will be equipped with two power train options. One will be 2 Wheel-Drive 2WD and  will be installed with a single electric motor. The other powrtrain will be All-Wheel-Drive AWD option with two electric motors.



2 Wheel Drive option powertrain will be equipped with 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that acts as a secondary power source for the battery pack and makes 116 hp.

On the other hand the AWD variant will have an output of 551 hp and 820 Nm of torque from the two electric motors and the engine. This allows the SF5 to go from a stand-still to 100 km/h in about 4.7 seconds.

The electric motors separately offer a range of 180 km but when combined with engine and SF5 has a combined range of over 1000 km depending on how the vehicle is driven.

Features

Being a modern SUV it comes with advanced features, including massive portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, heated and ventilated seats, a seat massager, a premium 11-speaker audio system, ‘L2+’ autonomous driving capabilities, adaptive cruise control, low-speed traffic assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, among other features.



Expected Price

The company has not yet revealed about the launch date of the vehicle and its price. However it will compete the hybrid market players like the Audi E-Tron, the Tesla Model Y, the Polestar 2, the Jaguar I-Pace, and the Mercedes Benz EQC. The SF5 is going to be a most premium hybrid SUV in the market and will cost high.

The price of the SF5 is from 278,000 Yuan PKR 6.65 million to 458,000 Yuan PKR 10.95 million and a crossover compact SUV becomes most expensive in this price category.
