IMC Records Upward Momentum In Sales Beating Suzuki & Ho

The auto Industry of Pakistan faced a huge decline in sales of its vehicles and suffered with an unbearable loss during the COVID-19 pandemic that arose from previous year. As the pandemic started decreasing the business started again and auto industry also started to recover and started selling its vehicles again. Some companies got recovered in their sales earlier and some are still facing the crucial situation of low sales.
The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association PAMA conducted a survey of leading auto companies and issued their sales figures for the month of October 2020. According to the findings of PAMA based research on sales of the units of various auto manufacturing companies cars and SUV sales at 12,774 in October, amounting to a 1.26% Month-on Month MoM increase and a 27% Year-on-Year YoY increase.



According to the date and figures of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association PAMA, the Pak Suzuki Motor Company PSMC sold 5,767 passenger vehicles in October 2020 and has experienced an MoM sales increase of 2.7% while facing a YoY sales decrease of 11.98%. The Toyota Indus Motor Company IMC continues on a strong upward trajectory, selling 4,611 passenger cars and SUVs in the said month and recording a YoY sales increase of 121% and an MoM sales increase of 22%.
Honda Atlas Cars sold 2,230 cars and SUVs in the said month, recording an MoM sales decrease of 18% and a YoY sales increase of 61%. Hyundai Nishat sold 211 units of the Tucson the only passenger car in their local lineup during October while observing an MoM decrease of 2% in sales.
Furthermore, as per data compiled by Topline Securities, Lucky Motors, which manufactures and distributes KIA in Pakistan and isn’t a member of PAMA as of yet, reportedly saw a 43% increase in YoY sales.
