Kia Motors to Car Assembly Plant Configuration in Pakistan

Lucky Cement has recently told that they have a plan to invest Rs. 12 billion in Kia Motors Corporation, an automobile company.
Through these investments, Lucky Cement will help Kia Motors in setting up its operations. The car will start the local manufacturing/ assembling of its cars soon after getting these investments. Kia is one of the top 20 most valuable cars brands and ranked as 1st in most reliable car manufacturer in 2016.

Through this project, all types of Kia motor vehicles will be manufactured, marketed, assembled, distributed, imported and exported from Pakistan.
Dewan Farooque Motors will act as franchise of Kia Motors in Pakistan that will use its plants in Karachi to assemble o r manufacture different models of the company.
Deewam Farooque Motors stated three months ago about resuming its production in October 2016. Now both the companies are negotiating for resuming vehicles of KIA Motors in Pakistan. In the coming years, Deewan Motors will launch SUVs, passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in collaboration with KIA Motors.
This investment by Lucky Cement for this project will boost local automobile industry in Pakistan. It will ensure hi-tech affordable cars in Pakistan by transferring technology from Korea to Pakistan and by improving competition in the automobile industry in Pakistan.
Prior to that, Lucky Cement announced its investment of Rs. 200 million to establish its third plant in the northern part of country in the start of 2016 that will help the pace of CPEC.
In Karachi, the company is working on the setting of 660 MW coal-based power plant with the name of ‘Lucky Electric Power Company Limited’ LEPCL.
