Local Car Makers Sold 27,317 Cars in July, Aug 2016

There is increase in sale of the cars, which are assembled within the country and the demand of the passenger cars is on the higher side in the country. The significant growth of 25% of the locally assembled cars is witnessed in August 2016 when we compare it with July 2016 figures of the sold cars.
The statistics have been issued by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association PAMA and the figures show that the local assemblers have sold out total 15,170 passenger cars having different models in the month of August 2016, which is more from 12,147 cars, which are sold during the month of July 2016. During these two months of the current financial year, the local car makers sold total 27,317 cars, which are locally assembled.
There are big automobile manufacturer companies, which are Industry Motor Company, Pak Suzuki and Honda and they are the main contributors in sale of the locally assembled cars in the country during this time. Now the sudden decline in sale of the locally assembled cars is witnessed, which is about 6% comparing with the sales of cars during the month of July and August 2016. The local assemblers said that this decrease in sale of the car is temporary due to vacations of Eid in the month of July and after that it will come to normal.
Punjab Government has also launched their Apna Rozgar scheme and this scheme is ended in the previous financial year. The assemblers of the cars have hopes that the sale of the locally assembled cars will be increased during the rest of the year due to high demand among the clients, low prices of petroleum products and have the affordable leasing with low interest rates. It is important to mention the local automobile companies checked the record sales of the cars in the history of the country during the period of financial year 2015-16 and it showed the demand trend for local cars remained at the high in the domestic market.
1300 CC and Above Cars
There is consistent demand of the locally assembled cars, which show the overall sales of the passenger cars like Toyota Corolla and it is the first choice of Pakistan and it is considered the best selling brand within the country.
Out of the total car sales of 27,317 units during this time, there were total 15,170 cars having 1300 cc o r above.

1000 CC Cars
There are mid-sized brands of the passenger cars, the locally assembled Suzuki Cultus is the most preferred choice of the car with high sales during this period. The clients can also check the cars including Suzuki WagonR and it is getting popularity among the people of Pakistan and the sale of this car is still increasing across the country.

Below 1000 CC
Suzuki Mehran is the very old brand car and it is still the second bestselling car across the country. This is the only locally assembled car, which is under 1000 cc.
This brand is familiar with the people of Pakistan and most of the people can afford to buy this car comparing with the imported cars from Thailand and Japan, when they check the cars under 1000 cc. the sale of the vehicle, Suzuki Bolan is increasing and it was also part of Punjab Government Apna Rozgar Scheme along with Suzuki Ravi Jeep in this scheme.
