Motorcycle Sales in New Fiscal Year

The automobile industry of Pakistan is growing rapidly and this industry has set new records. There are most of the motorcycles and other vehicles, which are seen in increased sales and the production is also increased. The sales of the buses are declined.
Motorcycle and Thee Wheeler Sales
There are two bike assemblers located in Karachi and they are Atlas Honda Limited and United Auto Motorcycle and they broke the record of production and sales. The production of United Auto Motorcycle and sales hit 35,555 and 36,084 units respectively during August 2017. The overall sales of UAM during July-August 2017 reached to 67023 units, when you compare it to 49464 units during the same period of 2016-17.
Atlas Honda Limited sold total 187,249 bikes during July August 2017-18 against 136,890 units are produced and 136,476 units were sold during 2016-17. The production and sales for Honda in August 2017 are present at 95,200 and 91,599 units and the figures were 90,800 and 93,060 units during May 2017. The sales of Suzuki and Yamaha were increased to 3278 and 3397 units from 2825 and 2044 units.
Road Prince Bike Assembler also got the highest production and sales of 23650 units during August 2017 against last high 19508 units in October 2016. Two and three wheeler sales are grown due to rising of disposable income of lower middle class. Road Prince, Sazgar and United Auto three wheeler sales were 3429, 2792 and 1542 units, when you compare it to 3091, 269 and 551 units during the same period of the previous year.
Car and Van Sales
There were total 35,002 locally assembled cars of PAMA members were sold in the first two months of the present fiscal year when you compare to 27,317 units sold during same period previous year. There is increase of 7000+ units in the market. The sales of Honda Civic and City, Suzuki Swift and Toyota reached to 7766, 722 and 8657 units when you compare to the 5295, 689 and 8250 units respectively during July-August 2016-2017.
Suzuki Cultus and WagonR are also increased in its sales and they got 3670 and 4137 units from 2190 and 2352 units. There is the big reason for enhancement in sales of WagonR and vendors are selecting to run the cars for Careem and Uber for extra income. The sales of Suzuki Mehran and Bolan were increased to 6826 and 3224 units from 5676 and 2865 units.
Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles
The sales of the Truck PAMA members including Hino, Nissan, Master and Isuzu increased to 1478 units from 1188 units while the sales of bus were decreased to 175 from 227 units. In Light Commercial Vehicles, jeeps and vans are included and their sale of Toyota Fortuner reached to535 units as compared to 111 units last year. The newly launched Honda BR-V got the sales of 1411 units. Suzuki Ravi sales were increased to 3757 units from 2890 units while Toyota Hilux sales went down to 967 from 1267 units. The sales of Fiat and Massey Ferguson tractors were increased to double to 3407 units and 6326 units in July-August 2017-18 from 1386 and 3055 units in the same period during last year.
