Outdated Public Transport Vehicle Will Not Allowed In Punjab

The Government of Punjab has announced to stop running old and outdated public transport vehicles from the roads in Punjab.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the provincial cabinet sub-committee held in Lahore. Lawmakers said the decision would reduce air pollution and benefit public health.

Reportedly, all public transport vehicles that have traveled 100,000 km will not be allowed to run on the roads anymore. The Punjab government has directed the provincial excise department to cancel the registration of all such vehicles and imperialize them as early as possible. However, the subcommittee has not yet come up with an alternative for the thousands of passengers who are distressed by the decision.
