Sindh Transport Minister Syed Owais Qadir Shah inaugurated electric buses in Karachi, the first electric bus service in Pakistan.

Addressing the launch ceremony, the Minister promised to add a fleet of 100 buses in the near future. He said that the electric buses would initially go from the Karachi Tower to Sohrab Goth at a fare of Rs. 500.4 km

Opened the first electric bus for Karachi. We will add a fleet of 100 electric vehicles to Karachi in the near future. God willing

Owais Qadir said that the addition of electric buses would help control traffic problems and pollution in the city.

Federal Minister of Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain took to Twitter to congratulate the Sindh government on its progress.

The Minister assured the Government of Sindh of the full cooperation of the Ministry of Information Technology in this regard and hoped that Punjab and KP would follow the same path.

"We will propose the project to the Sindh government through the governor," the minister said. .
