Peugeot Plans To Make Official Debut Of Its SUV In Pakistan

Many Automotive companies including MG, Changan, Honda, Toyota and Hyundai have launched their SUVs in Pakistan which shows that the customers are highly interested to buy SUVs. Many companies are still planning to launch their vehicles to make their dominant presence in the auto industry of Pakistan.

Peugeot is a French Automotive Manufacturer and now is planning to make its entry in the local auto market of Pakistan by making an official debut of Its SUV. Recently, the images of the Peugeot SUV surfaced and we can see that the SUV was spotted in Karachi. We can assume that the vehicle is a Peugeot 2008 test mule. It is a subcompact crossover SUV. The Peugeot 2008 SUV will be competitor to Nissan Juke, the Toyota CH-R, the Honda Vezel/HR-V, the Kia Niro, and the Hyundai Kona.



The 2008 Peugeot SUV is available with multiple power trains and has three variants of the same 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine with power outputs of 101 hp, 130 hp, and 155 hp Peugeot 2008 GT only. These can be mated to a 6-speed manual o r an 8-speed automatic transmission in the global market.

The Peugeot SUV also comes in a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 110 hp and 250 Nm of torque and can be mated to the same gearbox options. Both these engines are also available as hybrids – depending on the variants.

The vehicle is also available in the international markets with a 100 kW all-electric powertrain that is powered by a 50 kWh battery pack which makes 136 hp and 190 Nm of torque.
