Proton X70 SUV will debut in Pakistan Soon

Proton, a Malaysian national car manufacturer, is going to take entry in Pakistan's auto sector and recently the Malaysian High Commission has also pointed to the launch of the company's X70 SUV in the country.

After signing an agreement with Al-Hajj Group to set up a manufacturing facility in Karachi the Malaysian auto manufacturer and Pakistan are going to start a strategic parnership. Alhaj has obtained the Green Field status from the Ministry of Industry and Production for the manufacture of proton cars in the country under the Auto Development Policy ADP 2016-21.

Proton X70 SUV will debut in Pakistan Soon


A symbolic foundation ceremony was held earlier this year in March. According to the agreement, Alhaj will be distributor of proton cars officially in the country. A production facility will be set up that will create CKD units and the investment is worth $ 30 million.

The production plant with annual capacity is expected to be ready by June 2020. The Malaysian High Commission has also tweeted that the automaker's X70 SUV will soon make its debut in Pakistan and will also share photos of the car. Take a look at the tweet below:
