Punjab Traffic Accident Management Information

Pakistan Information Technology Board PITB has introduced the Traffic Accident Management Information System TAMIS with the collaboration of Punjab Police and Traffic Police of Punjab.

TAMIS is the electronic platform to report the accidents to traffic police headquarters Punjab and the authority can analyze the data of accidents happenings on the roads to make better and comprehensive traffic policies in order to save the lives of people.



The traffic accidents are 6th on list of deaths in Punjab and it is necessary to take good step by authorities and they should be appreciated. The director general at Punjab Information technology board and IG Punjab Police were also present at the launching ceremony.

Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control has made the collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology board and they have launched the smart card because of new registration certificates in the province. Punjab Traffic Accident Management Information will help in reduction of the traffic accidents throughout the province.





Giving the comments on this milestone, the senior officer of excise department asserted that the government has made the commitment of digitizing vehicle registration process and this will save the people from hassle to keep big and fragile registration book and it also wears out quickly.
