Renault Launch Duster SUV Manufacturing in Pakistan

The French automobile making company, Renault asked Majid Al Futtaim, an emirati shopping mall company y built in Dubai, to build a factory in Pakistan and launches the brand Renault in Pakistan. Both the companies have signed the memorandum of understanding to establish a plant in Pakistan.
Renault has been trying to enter the Pakistan market, they had also tried to make a deal with 2 companies in Pakistan, Dewan and Gandhara but the price didn’t go through. The plan was to build a factory in Pakistan which will allow the Renault to enter the Pakistan’s market.

The plan was to build a factory in the Karachi industrial area and they manufacture 50,000 vehicles. Its plan was to first assemble the 4×4 Duster SUVs, one of the greatest success of French automakers.
Renault has seen a great potential in the Middle East and the Indian region, where it plans to sell over 80,000 units by the end of its 2022 strategic plan, as compared to the last year plan.
The company is well established in North Africa and India and is also increasing rapidly in Iran but was unable to sell its car in Pakistan market.
Renault duster is a direct competitor to Honda br-v, which has been very successful in Pakistan since its launch, all because of its reasonable price and looks. Suzuki APV and faw Sirius are two other competitors to Renault duster, if it comes to the Pakistan.
Duster Overview
The Renault Duster is a sports utility vehicle. Unless Renault starts following the trend of other Pakistani automakers, duster will come with new features just like the international brands.

In other countries many different variants of duster are available with both petrol and diesel engines.
Duster petrol has 1.5 H4K MT engine and duster diesel has 15 dCi 85 PS diesel engines.
The transmission is 6 speeds easy R AMT designed for comfort and fuel mileage. A unique X-tronic CVT gearshift is also available which reduces gear shift shock.

It also has some new features usually not seen in local assembled vehicles like ECO mode, cruise control, multi information display and state of the art safety features such as ABS, ESP, EBD, and two airbags at the front. The doors are impact sensing automatically unlock when sense and impact for quick exit and automatically locks up when sense speed.
The price will be higher than the price of Honda br-v, albeit with some new and better features.
