Rolls Royce has already designed the cars and vehicles and now this company has designed the flying taxi that can carry four to five passengers at a time.

Rolls Royce Holdings Plc is going to produce small aircraft and it is expected that it will give Uber and Airbus, the taste of competition through the flying cars market segment. Rolls Royce Holdings Plc is the engine maker and it is not the British luxury car maker as they have separated their ways in 1970s.

EVTOL Flying Taxi

The company has launched the EVTOL Electrical Vertical Take Off and Landing concept for the congested cities and also for the personal use.
According to the initial speculations, the flying cars of Rolls Royce will be able to travel at the 250 mph speed for 500 miles straight. The craft will be equipped with four propellers and the wings that could rotate 90 degree to have the vertical take off. The propellers will fold the cruising height and vehicle will have the two more on the back to get the flight thrust.

Most of the manufacturers in market move towards the sustainable energy to make the electric engine and Rolls Royce is going to hit the different direction. The engine of the aircraft of the company will not be electric and it will be hybrid-esque engine where the gas turbines would generate 500kW of power for takeoff.

Rolls Royce is ambitious about the plan and it wants to launch the flying car by 2020. They are talking with various electrical systems suppliers and airframers to sell the idea at Farnborough air show this week.
