Swedish Auto Maker Scania to Start Operations in Pakistan

Scania is the Swedish truck maker and it is taking interest to start manufacturing of the vehicle in the Pakistani auto market. There is investment potential and the rapid growth of heavy vehicle market and Scania will bring the series of premium trucks, buses, truck tractors and coaches.
The auto maker has made the partnership with the local distributor and they are looking the possibility of setting up the manufacturing plant in Pakistan. Yousaf Dewan Companies have made the deal with the truck manufacturing company of Sweden for the exclusive distribution rights and the deal was signed between Scania Executive vice president sales and marketing and chairman of Yousaf Dewan Company.

The vice president of Scania said that they are feeling proud to introduce their high quality busses and trucks in Pakistan. He added that Pakistan is quickly emerging and preferred investment destination of the world and the automotive industry, which sees lot of investment potential in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC.
He also said that the entry of the company, Scania in Pakistani truck market will help to increase competition to give the benefits to the consumers. It will also help to create the employment and business opportunities for local work force.
