Toyota Is Partnering With Tesla For A Secret Project

Automotive industry Toyota and Tesla are partnering for establishing a new electric vehicle platform for small electric SUVs, according to a report from a South Korean newspaper, Chosen Albo.

South Korean media quoted a Japanese auto industry official as claiming that the two companies had been in secret talks since last year. Toyota Tesla's partnership is now in its final stages.

If the report proves to be true and the two companies become allies, Tesla will contribute its software and electronics expertise and Toyota will bring its vehicle manufacturing expertise to the table and develop the original vehicle platform. ۔ When all is said and done, both companies will use the end product, the electric vehicle platform, to build their own innovative compact SUVs.

This new partnership will be beneficial for both companies, especially Toyota. The company is behind these curves when it comes to electric vehicle technology. But now it is coming to the forefront and has also pledged to launch at least 10 EVs in the first half of this decade by 2025. Forming an alliance with Tesla, the king of EVs, would be a big plus for Toyota.
