Toyota Yaris Poor Performance In Latin Crash Test: Video

The number 1 sedan in the Pakistani automarket, Toyota Yaris has disappointed its fans in the Latin Crash Test conducted in United State US.

According to details, in, Latin NCAP’s Car Assessment Test Toyota Yaris Sedan showed a poor performance and got only one star in terms of safety. This news put the company and fans in shock across the world, as it is happening for the first time in the history of Toyota.

Toyota Yaris Crash Test 2021

The Latin NCAP conducted the test of Toyota Yaris, the highly anticipated and appreciated sedan all over the world manufactured in Thailand and Brazil. The sedan is featured with 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Control ESC. Here are the results of the famous B-segment sedan’s safety test.

 41% for the safety of the driver and front passenger
 64% for the protection of child passengers in the back seat
 62% for the protection of pedestrians
 42% for the security systems offered as standard

According to Latin NCAP, the frontal impact for driver and front passenger was good in terms of head and neck protection in Toyota Yaris. The car was found good for driver and front passenger only and also safer for the driver’s knees protection. It was also found that the cabin and floor of the car were also unstable in the test and were not able to support higher loads.

Toyota Yaris Crash Test 2019

It is pertinent to mention that the Toyota Yaris passed the same crash test conducted in 2019. At that time the sedan achieved 4 stars. The rules for the NCAP’s Car Assessment rules were not strict in 2019 as of now. For now, they have made an addition in the rules with new “Moose Test”. This test is carried out to check the side impacts of a car crash.

Toyota Yaris Tested In NCAP Is Available In Pakistan

The same Toyota Yaris tested in the Latin NCAP Crash Test 2021 is available in Pakistan. The company launched the sedan in Pakistan in March 2020. The sedan has now become the most selling sedan in Pakistan. According to statistics released by PAMA the company sells 2,500-3,000 units every month. The one-star rating of the Latin NCAP 2021 will surely put a question mark on the car’s safety and popularity.
