Kia Reopens Bookings For Its Cars

Kia stopped the bookings for all variants of Kia Picanto, Kia Sportage, and locally assembled Kia Stonic earlier this month. After just a few weeks, the company has reopened the bookings for these vehicles at their new Kia Car prices 2022.
The imported Kia Stonic, Kia Sorento, and Kia Grand Carnival were not facing any issues in the booking. The cars were available for sale on the dealerships.

Why Kia Suspended the Booking 
Since the COVID-19 epidemic, the car production and deliveries has been a victim of many delays around the world. The main reason for this scenario was the shortage of semiconductor chips in the global auto industry. 
After the resumption, the costs of zshipment and raw material started to rise and reached their record-highs. The industry is still facing the chip shortage and operational cost issues. And then, the dollar rate entered the equation and broke the auto industry’s back.
Hencde, Kia and other car companies stopped the production and suspended the bookings due to this unstable situation.

New Kia Car Prices
Kia Lucky Motors increased the Kia Car Prices in Pakistan recently for the 2nd time in the year. Here are the new Kia car prices.

Kia Picanto
With an increase of Rs. 200,000, price of Kia Picanto variants are:
Kia Picanto Manual                  Rs. 2,600,000
Kia Picanto Automatic            Rs. 2,700,000

Kia Stonic
The new prices of locally assembled Stonic variants after an increase of Rs. 275,000 are:
Kia Stonic EX                                 Rs. 4,425,000
Kia Stonic EX+                             Rs. 4,725,000

Kia Sportage
With an increase of Rs. 300,000 across the lineup, the new Sportage prices are:
 Kia Sportage Alpha                  Rs. 5,300,000 
Kia Sportage FWD                   Rs. 5,800,000
Kia Sportage AWD                 Rs. 6,300,000

The rupee devaluation against the US dollar is still on which is causing the economic instability. As per market reports, today’s dollar rate is Rs. 186.20, which was Rs. 182 a couple of days ago. That means the market is still unstable, and so are the car bookings and prices.
