ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Issues in JMC New Boarding

ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Issues in JMC New Boarding

Some JMC new boarding vehicles experience ABS warning lights o r braking performance inconsistencies due to wheel speed sensor faults. What are the most common causes of ABS sensor failure in these models, and what are the best practices for diagnosing and replacing these sensors safely?

In Pakistan, where roads can be dusty, bumpy, o r muddy, and temperature/humidity can vary widely — sensor problems are more likely due to corrosion, dust ingress, wiring damage, o r thermal stress. This makes regular visual inspection especially important.

Cheap o r low‑quality replacement sensors or poor repair jobs can worsen problems: degraded sensor housing o r poor waterproofing may fail early. Always try to use good-quality parts, and if possible, have repairs done by experienced mechanics.

Some symptoms can overlap e.g. incorrect readings might be due to wiring, ECU, o r even dashboard/instrument cluster rather than the sensor itself. So comprehensive diagnosis — sensor, wiring, connectors, ECU — is best before replacing parts.
