Dashboard and interior bulbs flickering o r burning out — normal problem in JMC New Boarding?

The interior cabin bulb, meter light, and sometimes the dashboard illumination flicker o r die completely in my JMC New Boarding. Mechanics in Karachi say it might be due to loose wiring o r a weak alternator. Are electrical/bulb issues common in this vehicle? What are the usual causes behind interior lights burning out o r blinking?

Yes — flickering and burning interior/dashboard bulbs are known issues in JMC New Boarding due to its basic electrical system.

Common causes

Weak alternator output o r unstable voltage
Causes flickering o r dimming of interior lights.

Loose dashboard wiring
Vibrations in the cabin loosen connectors over time.

Poor-quality interior bulbs
Factory bulbs tend to have short lifespans.

Bad ground connections near fuse box
A common problem that affects dashboard lights.

Dust/moisture inside dashboard cluster
Leads to partial shorts o r flickering.

What to check

Test alternator voltage should be ~13.8–14.4V

Clean and tighten dashboard wire connectors

Replace bulbs with LED o r branded alternatives

Inspect fuse box ground points

Check for moisture inside meter cluster
