Engine Power & Acceleration Concerns

Engine Power & Acceleration Concerns

Many users report that the Prince Pearl feels underpowered, especially when driving with passengers o r on hilly routes. How can performance be improved in real-world conditions, and are there known mechanical limitations that prevent the engine from delivering better acceleration?

The Prince Pearl uses an 800cc 3-cylinder engine, which is designed for basic city driving rather than strong performance. Because of the lower horsepower, the car struggles during uphill driving, quick overtaking, and when fully loaded. Its acceleration also feels weak due to the car’s weight-to-power ratio and the engines limited torque output.
To improve performance, drivers can:

Keep the engine well-tuned plugs, throttle body, air filter.

Use good-quality fuel.

Maintain proper tire pressure.

Avoid overloading the car.
However, major performance upgrades are limited because the engine capacity itself is small.
