Gear slipping o r malfunction can occur due to several reasons:

Low o r contaminated transmission fluid: Insufficient lubrication o r dirty fluid reduces hydraulic pressure, causing gears to slip.

Worn clutch manual o r bands/torque converter automatic: Mechanical wear prevents proper gear engagement.

Faulty sensors o r electronic controls automatic: Malfunctioning sensors can cause incorrect gear shifts.

Internal damage: Worn gears, bearings, o r other transmission components.

Preventive Measures:

Regularly check and replace transmission fluid according to the manufacturer’s schedule.

Inspect clutches and automatic transmission components during routine service.

Avoid aggressive driving o r sudden gear changes.

Address warning signs immediately to prevent complete transmission failure.
