Fuel Level Sensor Inaccuracy in JMC New Boarding

Fuel Level Sensor Inaccuracy in JMC New Boarding

Vehicle owners have noticed that the fuel gauge on JMC new boarding models sometimes shows incorrect fuel levels, leading to unexpected shortages o r overfilling. What are the typical reasons for fuel level sensor problems in these vehicles, and how can they be inspected, recalibrated, o r repaired in Pakistan?

The wheel‑speed ABS sensor — responsible for sending wheel-rotation data to the ABS module/ECU — can fail due to physical damage, accumulation of dirt/debris, corrosion, o r wiring/connector problems. In vehicles driven on rough o r unpaved roads common in many parts of Pakistan, debris, dust, mud can accumulate on sensors o r interfere with magnetic pickup, leading to failure.

Typical symptoms of a bad ABS / wheel‑speed sensor: ABS warning light on dashboard ABS malfunction wheels may lock during braking, o r ABS may not activate when it should inconsistent braking behavior possibly traction/stability systems o r other related functions may also degrade.

For diagnosis: after ABS light comes on — read fault codes from ABS module often via OBD o r ABS‑scanner to identify which wheel/sensor triggered error visually inspect sensor and wiring look for damage, looseness, corrosion, dirt o r debris, broken connectors check sensor alignment and mounting as wrong installation can cause errors.
