Are there known issues with the cooling system, belt tension, o r alternator build quality that contribute to this problem?

Gari Master - on 29 Nov 2025 10:18:41 amIf the alternator is overworked — for example, when many high-power accessories lights, stereo, extra fans, air-conditioning are used — the alternator works harder than design capacity and heats up.

If belt tension o r alignment is bad belt slipping o r too tight, this can cause extra load, friction and heat generation — belt issues thus contribute to overheating o r belt-burn smell.
