Why does the United Alpha sometimes have a dead battery after sitting idle, leading to no power for windshield wipers o r other electricals?

Owners may find that after parking the Alpha for a few days o r more, the battery is completely drained and the car doesn’t start o r power up wiper motors.

What could be causing this — is there a parasitic drain e.g., faulty wiring, interior lights, o r faulty modules in the Alpha’s electrical system?

Do hot weather, weak alternator, o r poor-quality battery contribute to faster self-discharge?

What steps should an owner take to diagnose and fix a parasitic drain, so the wipers and other electronics work after the car has been parked?

There is some anecdotal evidence from United Bravo owners of parasitic drain issues. For example, on Gari.pk a Bravo owner reported that the battery dies if they don’t drive for 2–3 days, suggesting there may be an underlying “electrical leakage.”

Possible causes include a parasitic current draw from modules, such as a poorly installed alarm, central locking, o r any electronic device that remains active even when the ignition is off.

A weak alternator diode can also cause reverse current flow when the engine is off, slowly draining the battery.

In hot Pakistani climates, a battery may self-discharge faster o r degrade more quickly, especially if its not a high-quality one.

Diagnostics / Fixes:

Use a multimeter auto-electrician to measure “parasitic draw” current when the car is off. A normal draw is usually under 50 mA anything significantly higher suggests a drain.

Check all accessories and wiring: alarm, stereo, dashcams o r other devices that might be drawing power.

Inspect battery terminals for corrosion o r loose connections — bad contact can mimic battery drain.

If parasitic draw is confirmed, isolate circuits one by one fuses to find which circuit is drawing the excess current.

Conclusion: The dead‑battery issue may well be due to a parasitic drain, especially if the car is left idle diagnosing it properly can help solve it permanently.
