About Nissan

Gandhara Nissan has been operating in Pakistan since 1981 and has made a name for itself with its line of trucks in the country. GNL has been awarded Brownfield status under the Auto Development Policy 2016-21 and has established its assembly plant in Bin Qasim, Karachi, where it assembles CBU units of two Chinese truck brands, JAC and Dongfeng, as well as one British brand, Renault. In addition to importing and selling cars from the original Nissan Motors in Japan, GNL also has plans to introduce SUVs in the market of Nissan Pakistan in collaboration with Chinese auto manufacturer, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd.

History of Gandhara Nissan

Initially established as a subsidiary of Bibojee Services (Private) Limited, Gandhara Nissan Limited (GNL) was founded in 1981 as a private company. In 1992, Nissan was converted into a public limited company. GNL used to manufacture and sell cars in the local auto market, with models such as Nissan Sunny, Nissan Patrol, and Nissan Safari being among the most popular Nissan cars Pakistan. However, GNL's current focus is on assembling and selling international trucks, importing and selling Nissan cars, and other vehicles under contract agreements.
