5th Gen Toyota Prius Teaser Released

Toyota Prius is the leading hybrid benchmark model, which is considered the first mass-marketed hybrid car in the world and this car was released in Japan in December 1997 as first generation and it has become the best-selling hybrid model all over the world. You can find 5th Gen Toyota Prius Teaser released. 

Current Toyota Prius

When you check the exterior side of this car, it is subjective and you can find various positive and negative thoughts. You will find any meme about Toyota Prius on the social media and the selling of Prius is excellent as it is designed as the fuel efficient car and very economical for the fuel.

When the first Prius prototype was made, the engineers of Toyota were failed to move this car for 49 days and now millions of Prius cars are running on the road.  


4th generation Prius is XW50, which was arrived in 2014 and it got the facelift in 2020. Now you can watch the next 5th generation Prius and we are getting the news about it. The prototype of this car is the camouflaged car, which was seen few months ago in Japan and it was reported as the new coming Prius. Now Toyota has released some teaser images of this car but did not share details with the message of ‘Hybrid Reborn’.

The Teaser

This Prius may be the new expected car and for the exterior, you cannot get much from the teasers. It seems that it got some inspiration from Toyota “bZ” electric model range from the front side. The new Prius would retain the Hybrid DNA and it showed that it would be ‘in the right side’.

When you check the side profile shadow image, you can get the sportier-looking sports-back type styling and Prius will be provided on the new E3 platform, which is an updated GA-C global platform and it will be added with the Toyota EV platform. It is expected that it may have improved wheelbase and increased interior volumes and it will be more aerodynamically efficient, which will be wider, lower and sportier.  

Expected Power

You know very few on the technical side and it is expected that it might be better than the current 1.8L Hybrid 2ZR-FXE engine and for the first time, we will obtain 2.0L M20A-FXS Hybrid version in Prius. The current 4th generation Prius has AWD-e electric motor-based all-wheel drive system. We can expect the regular conventional Hybrid, which is Plugin Hybrid and some reports say that we also see the hydrogen-powered fuel cell version. 

Toyota has not shown the name of their new coming model, which is teased but present Prius has completed its life cycle and we will watch the new model. It is expected that more detail of this new model will be shared by 16 November.
