Govt Plans To Increase Prices Of Petrol Once Again
The government has already increased the prices of petrol twice in January 2021. Now, according to media reports, government is planning to increase the petrol prices once again by Rs. 1.03 to Rs. 110.23 per liter and high-speed diesel HSD by Rs. 0.95 per liter to Rs. 114.14 per liter.
It is also reported that the summary is delivered to Economic Coordination Committee ECC by Petroleum Division.
The sources further said that the summary has proposed to increase OMC Petroleum premium margin by 45 paise per liter and dealer margin by 58 paise per liter.
It has been proposed to increase the OMC margin of high speed diesel by 45 paise per liter while dealers' margin is likely to increase by 50 paise per liter.
After the proposed increase in petrol, the OMC margin will increase from Rs 2.81 paise to Rs 3.26 per liter while the dealer margin will increase from 3.70 paise to Rs 4.28 per liter.
