Here’s Why MG Pakistan Increased Price Of MG HS SUV

Previously, the MG Pakistan officially announced an increase of price of its most popular SUV, MG HS in Pakistan. The company also issued an official notification in this regard. Today we are going to inform you that what was the actual reason that automaker increased the MG HS Price in Pakistan.

As per the notification of the MG HS, the price of the SUV was increased to PKR 5,749,000 from PKR 5,449,000, which shows that the amount of 3 Lacs increased and the company also announced the bookings of the car at the 20 lacs as well.



Reason Behined Hike In Price

The MG HS price increased due to increase in custom duty on the import of the car. As per details, the Pakistan Customs increased the custom duty on the car from $11,632 per unit to $13,314. Due to this increase, now the MG Pakistan is now have to pay the tax on the each unit of MG car around 3,20,000 rupees that’s why the automaker increased the price of MG HS and customers have to pay extra 3 Lacs.

The MG Pakistan has also recently rolled out the locally manufactured CKD units of the MG HS SUV. The key stakeholder shared the details about the locally produced car. Hopefully, the locally manufactured MG HS will give a big relief to its buyers in terms of price.
