Pak Suzuki will launch Celerio in 2017

Karachi, Pak Suzuki Motor Company is the biggest car manufacturing company and it has over 50% market share. The company has decided to launch its new standard model of Suzuki Celerio during the month of March 2017. The company has made the formal announcement that the reports circulating on the social media and on the official facebook page of Suzuki Pakistan, they are likely to be made by the company on Wednesday.
The company is confident that government will offer some incentives to them under their new auto policy and the company has decided to introduce the standard model of Celerio in March 2017 as the official of the company provided this information on condition of anonymity.
It is reported that the new model, Suzuki Celerio is 1000 cc engine car that Pak Suzuki plans to replace it with the Suzuki Cultus that was launched in 2000 after replacing the car, Suzuki Khyber. This announcement has made the new paradigm shift in the earlier stated policy of the company, in which it was stated that new investment plans were contingent on the offering of the government with the same incentives to offer the new entrants in Automotive Development Policy 2016-21.
There are some other variants of Celerio and the new models of the car will be introduced in the market from the new plan of the company to establish it with the provision of the similar incentives of the government including the new entrants.
The company flatly denied in October on the basis of the earlier policy that this new model was launched in the next two years. The top management of the company met with the Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar and it was said by the close that the government has given some hope to three big car manufacturers.
Pak Suzuki made the request with the government to offer some incentives to the new entrants so that they can establish the new Greenfield plant with the investment of $430 million and the government was unimpressed with their request.
The intention of the company was announced in media to introduce their two new variants in the local market and the Head of Suzuki Global has made the announcement during the meeting with the Minister of Industries. The company also provided the detail of the two new models in 2015 so that they can take up about $110 million of total investment of about $430 million, which is planned by the government. The remaining amount would be spent for the establishment of the manufacturing plant to manufacture the spare parts. The company has also stated specifically that the investment was made on the condition of incentives.
