Price of United Bikes Jumps by Rs. 18000

Around this time last year, as we reflected on the challenges of the past 12 months and the difficulties plaguing Pakistan's auto industry, the persistent issue of price hikes stood out. Unfortunately, this trend continues due to the ongoing economic turmoil in the country and the lack of a clear direction from the Kakar-led interim government, prolonging the nation's economic crisis.

We now welcome the first in a series of price hikes. United Auto Industries has taken the initiative and increased the prices of its bikes by up to Rs. 18,000, effective from January 9, 2024.

Here are the updated prices for United bikes in Pakistan:

The price of United US 70 (Standard) remains unchanged. However, the price of US 70 (alloy rim) has surged to Rs. 114,500, marking a Rs. 5,000 increase.
The company has maintained the price of US-100 (Special), but the price of US-100 (Standard) has risen by Rs. 10,000, reaching Rs. 117,000 from the previous rate of Rs. 107,000.
The new price of US-100 (Standard Special) is Rs. 118,000, compared to the old price of Rs. 108,000, indicating a Rs. 10,000 increase.
US-100 (Standard Alloy Rims) now costs Rs. 127,500, up significantly from the previous rate of Rs. 109,500, reflecting a substantial Rs. 18,000 difference.
As for the United US Scooty 100 and United US 125, their prices remain unchanged.

Regrettably, the company has not provided reasons for this move, continuing a tradition observed for years. Analysts predict that the automotive industry may need two to three years to recover from this slump, indicating that we can expect these price hikes to persist for the foreseeable future.
