Proton New Saga Launched in Malaysia

A new variant of Proton Saga has been launched in Malaysia. This new variant has the same features as minus hill start assist, electronic stability control, standard automatic and traction control.

This new variant has same features like 120 Newton meters (Nm) of torque, a naturally aspirated 1.3 –liter 4 cylinder petrol engine that will make 93 horsepower, joined with a 4 speed automatic transmission.

It also has other features like rear parking sensors, 3 USB ports, a modern infotainment with Bluetooth connectivity, 2 air bags, have ABS Brakes with EBD and BA technology with some other facilities.

Proton Saga in Pakistan

In 2021 the Saga was launched in Pakistan. Pakistan has only three variants of it however Malaysia has five variants of the sedan. All the models of the car has same features like a 4 speed automatic gearbox, 1.3-liter 4 cylinder petrol engine and may have a 5 speed manual gearbox.

The Pakistani Saga variant have some better features over the Malaysian import having front and rear parking sensors, Noise Vibration Harshness(NVH) guards, a center console with an armrest and a strut tower brace for having a better stability.

As of the latest price hike Proton Saga has a cost in between Rs. 2.8 million and Rs. 3.2 million, which makes it the cheapest sedan in Pakistan. There is also rumors that Al-Haj Automotive Proton’s Partner in Pakistan has a plan to launch its Standard Lite in Pakistan.

This new variant will cost Rs. 2.9 million and Rs. 3.1 million after all inclusion of duties, which will still be a good price knowing the other car prices.
