Suzuki Pakistan has recently increased the prices of its motorcycles by up to Rs.20,000. This is the second time within a month that the company has increased its rates. The new rates will be effective from May 9, 2023, and the previous increase was on April 7, 2023. The reasons for these hikes are unclear, although it could be due to import difficulties, the high cost of raw materials, and the unstable PKR against the USD. New Prices of Suzuki Motorcycles
The new prices of Suzuki motorcycles are as follows: 
Suzuki GD 110S: After a hike of Rs.13,000, the new price of this bike is Rs.335,000, up from Rs.322,000. 
Suzuki GS 150: The new price of this bike is Rs.364,000 after a hike of Rs.14,000, up from Rs.350,000. 
Suzuki GSX 125: The new price of this bike is Rs.488,000 after an increase of Rs.19,000, up from Rs.469,000. 
Suzuki GR150: After a hike of Rs.20,000, the new price of this bike is Rs.521,000, up from Rs.501,000.

It is important to note that the retail prices include ex-factory product price and freight charges. The prices are subject to change without prior notice, and the price applicable at the time of delivery will be charged. Additionally, any government taxes applicable will be charged to the customer.


Reasons for Price Hike

The primary reasons for the recent price hikes could be import difficulties, the high cost of raw materials, and the unstable PKR against the USD. Despite the claims of total localization, the major components of bikes from companies such as Suzuki and Yamaha are still imported, meaning that any changes in the dollar rate directly affect the prices of the motorcycles.
